America, The Country, is slowly being militarized. Some of the Country’s Laws are ignored and Replaced by “Trump Laws.” If There is Nothing in the Constitution that could be Applied to Stop a President from Behaving like a Dictator then The Constitution deserves to be updated.
In 1975 I was invited to participate in a Celebration of The American Constitution by a teacher at Alverno College in Milwaukee. As I knew nothing about the Constitution, I asked for, and was sent a copy to my address in Montreal Canada. I read the Constitution and decided to give my talk focusing on “The Executive, Legislative, and Judicial Branches of Government.” I mention that because now I realize I had not included but had left out: “The People” as “The Fourth Branch of Government”. I am presently thinking: Maybe, if in The Constitution: The People were made The Fourth Part of The Government, they would now be more Politically Active. They would find ways to remind Politicians they Elected of The Promises They made.
In my talk, I had divided the students into Three Groups To Represent the Three Branches of Government. Each Group had different ‘noisemaking tools’ (spoons, sticks, clapping hands). Then I started to play a rhythm on the drum (An African Djembe) While playing and listening to the groups, I could detect a group that was listening to me playing the drums, which weakened their contribution... So, I would stop my playing and remind all the groups that “If A Group did not Play Its Part... they would be overwhelmed by the others”. Then we would start again “Making a joyful noise” (As my Grandmother would say). I wonder if any student now in these “Noisy times”, remembers that warning?
I am thinking: Maybe... lf Children were Taught and eventually Thought of Themselves as “The Fourth Part of The Government”... After a few Generations... This would become a “Cultural Value”.... Expanding The Individualistic “Life, Liberty, The Pursuit of Happiness”... To Include a Nation Saving Force: “Political Intelligence”...
Seems to me: Elected Democrats are behaving too much like a ‘Democracy’... Too Open... Too Allowing... Accepting The Myth of Freedom. (At times when there are disagreements Democratic Members Feel Free to Switch and Support The Republican Party... The Republicans do not abide their members supporting The Democrats.) The Democrats seems to me, to be Unaware of) GoPac... And the Power of GoPac as A Driving Political Force. Knowledge of GoPac would lead to developing ways to meet this challenge.
The Emergence of Trump, and Trump’s Capture of The Country can be seen as one clue to The Country's Political Weakness. If There is nothing in The Constitution that could be used to Stop ‘a Trump’ or Dismiss judges... There will be others... The Constitution needs to be Updated. (But not by a 'People' or Generation that without a whimper, accepted "Trickle Down Economy" and Trumpian Power Politics.
But after all the above... and not ignoring “Education Systems as basically Conservative System”... If The Coming Generations of Children are not introduced to The History of Political Behaviors... Many are likely to behave no different from the Present Generation. The Trumps and Hitlers of this world are not Supermen. Their Power is a Based On a Determination to be “Leader of The Pack.” With The Support of Millions of Humans There will be other ‘Trumps’... But Only: If Supported by millions of Americans.
I came cross the word “Kakistocracy” not long ago: “Government Management by the least suitable or competent.” Present and Future Governments, as a set of Politicians with no Training, No Degrees in the Management of Millions of Humans, are likely to Launch Kakistocracy on The Millions of People... Who Mesmerized by their linguistic skills, Put them in Power... (I wonder: If Politics was made a Profession... Would that Impose or Improve Political Integrity and Honesty?)
To Minimize the future Installments of Kakistocracy: Present and Future Generations of Children have (through Education) to be Thoroughly ‘Introduced’ to the History (Not ‘Niced’ up) of Political Shenanigans. (Gerrymandering and “GoPacking”, for instance.) This will take some time. Politicians will not easily accept the Installment of “Political History in the Education System”. It would not be difficult to politicize such training as “Promoting Disestablishmentarianism”. But. If There is not an increase of Political Intelligence... Predictably: The People of America (The Peoples of The World) can expect The Emergence of Future Kakistocracys, Hitlers, and Trumps.
