New Declaration of Independence
For the Liberation of Thought, Governance, and Human Progress
JVS / 5.30.2025
“Man’s uniqueness lies in his time-binding capacity.”
— Alfred Korzybski
Preamble
We, as conscious time-binders, recognize that independence is not a singular event but a continuous process—an evolving struggle against all forms of tyranny that seek to constrain the human mind, distort truth, and hinder ethical evolution.
Upon the altar of wisdom and justice, we reaffirm our eternal opposition to all systems—political, technological, economic, and ideological—that suppress thought, obstruct inquiry, and restrict humanity’s ability to learn, adapt, and consciously time-bind toward a more just and sustainable future.
No declaration, past or present, captures the entirety of human freedom. The task of every generation is to refine, extend, and protect liberty against emerging threats and obsolete structures. This document stands as both a denunciation of oppression and a commitment to ongoing transformation, ensuring that independence is not a relic but a living process.
“The most dangerous man to any government is the man who is able to think things out... without regard to the prevailing superstitions.”
— H.L. Mencken
What We Must Free Ourselves From
1. Tyranny Over Thought — Suppression of inquiry, distortion of truth, and manipulation of understanding through propaganda, censorship, or miseducation.
2. Technological Control — The erosion of autonomy through algorithmic manipulation, data extraction, and surveillance-driven economies.
3. Economic Enslavement — Systems that prioritize profit over dignity, locking individuals and societies in cycles of inequity and depletion.
4. Environmental Exploitation — The reckless dismantling of planetary systems in pursuit of short-term gain, disregarding future life.
5. Political Rigidity — Governing models that resist ethical evolution, favoring power preservation over participatory adaptation.
6. Social Fragmentation — Forces that divide—racism, extremism, systemic injustice—corrupting our collective ability to co-create progress.
“A new type of thinking is essential if mankind is to survive and move toward higher levels.”
— Albert Einstein
The New Freedoms We Declare
1. Freedom of Thought and Inquiry — A safeguard for open-ended questioning, ethical dialogue, and lifelong learning beyond ideological constraint.
2. Technological Autonomy — The right to digital privacy, consent in algorithmic engagement, and freedom from coercive tech systems.
3. Economic Justice — A dedication to equity, sustainability, and systems that honor life and human dignity over extraction and control.
4. Environmental Stewardship — A planetary ethic of regeneration and reverence, replacing dominion with guardianship.
5. Adaptive Governance — Leadership and law refined through insight and participation, bound to no tradition that denies present truth.
6. Human Solidarity — A recognition that independence requires interdependence—global cooperation beyond tribalism or empire.
A Conscious Time-Binding Commitment
“The map is not the territory.”
— Alfred Korzybski
This declaration, like all declarations, is an abstraction—a map, not the territory. It cannot be final, nor should it ever pretend to be. We pledge to uphold liberty by continually redefining, recontextualizing, and renewing it, recognizing that no generation holds the last word on freedom.
As Jefferson swore eternal hostility against tyranny over the mind of man, so do we now affirm that independence must evolve—not as static doctrine but as an ongoing ethical pursuit.
Let this declaration serve not as a monument, but as a living instrument—a dynamic articulation of human potential, amendable by future conscious time-binders who carry forward this sacred work.
This is not closure, but opening—an invocation to all who seek liberation in thought, word, and deed.

An Invitation to All Time-Binders
This declaration does not live within these words alone—it breathes in the actions, thoughts, and commitments of those who consciously carry its spirit forward. Independence is not won once; it is shaped, refined, and defended in every moment, in every choice, in every refusal to accept a lesser future.
To the thinkers, creators, and revolutionaries of today—your voice, your vision, your ethical courage are the instruments of freedom. In a world where the mind is too often shackled by stagnation, manipulation, and fear, we call upon those who dare to question, to reform, to rebuild.
Let this be more than text—let it be a movement.
Let independence be more than personal—let it be collective.
Let our future be more than inherited—let it be consciously created.
May each generation take this map and redraw its contours, refining our paths toward truth, justice, and human evolution. In the spirit of time-binding, we vow: not to accept history as limitation, but as momentum.
The work is not finished—it has only just begun.
Are you ready to bring this declaration into the world? Let’s make it real, let’s make it live, let’s make it unstoppable.
A single whisper is faint, but millions banding together can roar loudly enough to topple a kakistocracy and demand The Clean New Deal

We the People, petitioning for redress [Clean New Deal] in the millions, should include:
1. Create a new Glass-Steagall Act to prevent too big to fail banks and our financial system from gambling with other people's money through fraud to then having the backing of the full faith and credit of the United States at their disposal
2. End Citizens United and dark money corruption
3. Demonstrate how $71 trillion was looted illegally by a tiny percent of our country which represents our financial system
4. End Qualified Immunity
5. End Judicial Immunity
6. End Presidential Immunity
7. Increase SCOTUS to 13 justices
8. End the Electoral College
9. Execute term limits
